Undesired Desire
By Charles Moffat
Love, that paramount of passions The only thing worth living for Dying for Walking through Hell for But a greater torment awaits The undesired Unreturned love, indeed, UNACKNOWLEDGED LOVE! Is the barbed blade Tainted with a slow poison Think of an red rose Beautiful, desirable But poisoness and prickly For red is the symbol of lust Not love Yellow is friendship Orange, my favourite Unique in every way That's the symbol of enduring love My rose, an orange one, Is wilting Poisoned by my red ones.
Smoldering Delusions
I don't want you anymore Stay away from me I can't think straight My heart beats too fast I love you still but stay away Your love is pain No more delusions No more lying to myself Go the way you go And I will go mine But know this: I'll be leaving part of my soul behind I can't take it with me It will prevent me from loving another If thats possible The stars will still shine without you Life will go on The fire within, remains The torch I lit, I now smolder. |
